Flag codes

Knowing the meaning and actually applying the flag codes is an essential aspect when riding on a racetrack. Riders must adjust their riding behavior on the track directly to these flag codes.

As of the 2020 season the TT Circuit Assen will work with digital flag panels.
These digital flag panels, called “digiflags”, have the same meaning and value as the flag signals from the track marshals and can be displayed in 19 positions.
Primarily only the digiflags will be shown. Digiflags can be supplemented or supported by flag signals from the track marshals. The signal that is shown first takes precedence.

For the participants in the CRT license course for the OW Cup license, a written exam is held in which both the meaning of the flag codes used by the track marshals and the meaning of the digiflags are asked. The meaning of each flag should be described as extensively as possible.
